IFS & Somatic Therapy

For women stuck in self-doubt, people-pleasing and anxiety that won’t let up.

Welcome.

If you’re here, something in your life may be shifting. You might be in a transition, letting go of an old way of being, or feeling pulled toward something new without quite knowing how to move toward it yet.

I work with women who struggle with people-pleasing, self-doubt, and speaking their truth. Women who are thoughtful, aware, and deeply attuned to others, but who find it hard to stay connected to themselves in the moments that matter. Women who can feel what’s true for them, but lose access to it when there’s pressure, conflict, or uncertainty.

In our work together, we start by looking at what’s actually happening inside you in real time. You might notice the part of you that automatically says yes and then later wishes you hadn’t, or the part that replays a conversation and wonders if you said the wrong thing. There can be a part that feels responsible for how everyone else is feeling, or one that tightens when there’s even a hint of conflict. Sometimes there’s a part that tells you it’s better to stay quiet than risk being misunderstood. These parts tend to move quickly, often before you’ve had a chance to think.

Instead of trying to override them or push through, we slow things down and get to know them. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapy, we create space for these parts to be understood and to release what they’ve been carrying. As that happens, you begin to have more access to your own clarity, steadiness, and sense of self.

Over time, things start to shift. You may notice that you pause instead of automatically saying yes. You feel clearer about what you want and need, and more able to follow through. You can speak more directly and authentically, without the same level of anxiety or guilt. And even when something feels uncomfortable, you feel more grounded in yourself.

If this resonates, we can talk more.

Meet Ali

Hi, I’m Ali. I’m a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience and the author of two books.

I’m trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the IFS Institute, and my work is grounded in IFS, somatic therapy, and empowere communication.

I pay close attention to what’s happening in the moment, not just what you’re describing, but what’s shifting underneath it.

We slow things down enough to understand those patterns as they’re happening, so you’re not just talking about change, you’re experiencing something different in real time.

My work has been featured in TIME, The Guardian, Forbes, HuffPost, Today, Verywell Mind, Bustle, DailyOM, Well+Good, Success, The Knot, Parents, Fodor’s, Real Simple, and more.

How We’ll Work Together

A 15-minute call to see if we’re the right fit.

Weekly or every other week therapy via Zoom.

Grow deeply anchored in yourself, regulate your nervous system, and live with more freedom, joy, and aliveness.

Who I Work With

I work with women who are thoughtful, self-aware, and often on a personal growth path, but still find themselves pulled into people-pleasing, overthinking, and second-guessing.

You may be able to feel what’s true for you, and still notice that something takes over.

The part that reads the room and adjusts.
The part that wants to get it right or be seen in a certain way.
The part that takes responsibility for how others feel.

So even as you grow, these patterns can show up more strongly, especially during times of change.

Through IFS and somatic work, we begin to understand and work with these parts directly, so you can stay more connected to yourself, trust your decisions, and show up more honestly in your life and relationships.

What Clients Say

“Working with Ali has been pretty life-changing. I used to feel trapped in patterns of people-pleasing but through our work together, I’ve stepped out of that cage, and there’s no going back! I feel unapologetically myself now. I know my needs, I can speak up for them, and I no longer abandon myself to keep the peace. ”

— A.W.

When I first started working with Ali, I felt pretty stuck and a bit scattered. Everything felt hard. A lot of our work was about slowing things down and getting curious about different parts of me. We used IFS to understand why certain patterns kept showing up, especially around my self-doubt. I’m more able to listen to myself instead of shutting down and that’s made things feel more manageable now. I’m really grateful for the IFS tools I can use on my own now.”

- S.P.

“Ali helped me untangle years of overgiving and imbalanced relationships.”

—T.R.

I came to Ali during a career transition that completely threw me off. I thought I was just stressed but really I was questioning a lot of things about my life.

Ali helped me notice the parts of me that were terrified of making a wrong move and the parts that actually wanted something different. I’ve been making decisions now that feel a lot more honest.” - D.G.
